It is easy to install without even looking at the instructions This was quick to install. If you’ve installed a door lock before, it assembles exactly the same except there is a little wire connector to plug in when the two halves come together. It is easy to install without even looking at the instructions.

Fine Lock with a Few Reservations With kids or if you just like to jog in your neighborhood, this lock is a great solution for avoiding lost keys or lockouts of your home. The lock is easy to install and program, but I am torn about not having a key option at all. On one hand, there is nothing to pick or bump. On the other hand, if the mechanism fails, there is no way to force it open from the outside. Yes, there is the option to use a 9-volt battery to open the lock, but if the electronics fail, that’s not going to get you…

Schlage is the best one if you’re looking for keyless entry! This is our second Schlage keypad lock, and we love them. The first Schlage keypad lock was one that only fit over a deadbolt — it did not have a door handle. When you punch in the numbers on that one, the latch retracts on its own (you need 4-AA batteries) and you have to have a separate handle. It was perfect for our front door because we were able to install it on the deadbolt and then install a beautiful non-locking door handle.
