Disappointed in Durability I bought this handle on April 5th, 2016. It has been on my front door since shortly after then. It has been a great knob that has functioned properly until now. The finish is peeling off the handle!! It has only been outside for 6 months! After paying $110 for a handle, I thought it would last for years and not months. I’m so disappointed in this product.

Replacement is perfect! (Originally: Flaw in product) Update: Got a replacement and it works fine. I have included a picture which shows that the problem was in the knob assembly, not the handle assembly. The knob on the left was the one I got the first time, the left is the one that came with the replacement. As you can see, the spring loaded assembly is actually installed backwards on the first one, with the rectangular opening which grips the handle bar to turn facing up instead of down into the knob. The replacement works like a charm, and…

Good fit and finish, nice set. Great value, works as described. No issues getting it drilled and installed. Would definitely buy again. The combo deal is a much better price than any of this stuff separately.
