Now I don’t have to leave the key under the mat I have been leaving an extra key to my house in various “hiding” places for several reasons. The number one reason is that I occasionally lock myself out of the house. I also have a few relatives that come over when I’m not home to watch my fur babies. And then there are my nieces that sometimes walk here after school (it’s right across the street) when I’m not home. I don’t want to give a key to everyone, hence the hiding places. Plus my nieces have lost keys to my house before…

Save those locksmith charges We try to come up with inventive places to hide a key around our home. However, we either forget where we put it or it’s most likely the spot most others would look. The last time I got locked out I went and made 10 keys so I could hide them but again, that’s not too safe.

Wish I Had Gotten Sooner! I ordered the REALTOR KEY LOCK BOX Safe Vault – Combination 4 Pin Lock – Wall Mounted for Maximum Security – Master Heavy Duty Slimline Keys Storage System by 321 Locks because I have two college age daughters who have twenty friends each that were using the code on the garage door open. I figured it out and I’m fairly certain close to 60+ people had access to my home.
