I was surprised how well designed this device is I was just completing a project of building a standard width gate for a fence that previously only had a double-wide vehicle gate (which we rarely needed to use). We were getting tired of having to pry open such a large gate when all we needed to do was get to the trash cans. A single-wide gate is a huge improvement in terms of convenience but it also introduced a bit of a security concern as it would be easier for someone to open a typical gate latch and gain access to our back yard. careful what height you install it… I really liked the lock when we got it and thought it would provide us with a bit of extra security, making our home a slightly less soft target, as thieves have been going through side gates in my neighborhood and breaking in from backyards. Poor Instructions The enclosed instructions were different than those on the back of the packaging. I purchased the drill for the post hole based on the back of the package only to find that it was about half the diameter of the inside instructions. I was able to get it to work, but was disappointed with the instruction.
