Does everything but keep out determined burglars! What is more important, being able to remotely control your locks with your cell phone, or having those locks keep burglars out of your house? Clearly, the primary point of a wireless lock should be to secure your home first, and your convenience second. Unfortunately, after ordering a couple of these Kwikset units, I found out I made a poor choice. Good high-quality product. Have 3 of these used with Vera3 and love them. Just wish the batteries lasted a BIT longer. FYI, you CAN install these without using they keypad. My wife didn’t like the idea of having a keypad on our front door. There was an existing Kwikset unit on the front door and I just used the outer portion of that… internal portion screwed right into it. Can still control it via Zwave no issue. Also the Kwikset’s ability to rekey on your own is really cool.
