Used with entry function knobs and levers where a 5-inch backset is present, as with many older homes, this replacement part fits all 5-inch Kwikset deadbolt mechanisms with square-cornered mortising. Just what I was looking for I have a house built in the 50’s with a door knob that is much further from the edge of the door than any other door I have seen. The knob finally wore out to the point that we couldn’t open it. I checked all over and could not find anyone who knew what I was looking for. A check of Amazon turned this up at a great price.
