Kevo Convert now works with Alexa voice commands (requires Kevo Plus hub, sold separately). You can lock/unlock (PIN required) and check lock status.
Compatible Door Locks:
Standard deadbolts are compatible.
If you have a standard deadbolt mounted separately from the handle below it, it is compatible with Kevo Convert.
Kevo convert is compatible with Kwikset, Weiser, Baldwin Prestige, Baldwin Reserve, Baldwin Estate, and Schlage standard deadbolts.

If you want a “smart” lock that rarely works, you’ve found it… I waited a while to get a smart lock as they’ve only been on the market for a few years and I figured I would wait out the bugs. So, when I saw this Convert option offered by Kwikset I figured they probably have come far enough along to make it worthwhile. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Shame on Kwikset for sending this terrible product to market. The only – and I mean only – redeeming quality of this product are the installation instructions. Only works intermittently I really wanted this product to work. The price point was attractive, and the look of the product was as well. I will give some credit, the interactive instructional videos in the app were really good. So good, that I really expected the product to work flawlessly. However, one mild annoyance was that the video doesn’t cover the dipswitches at all. My unit had switches that were not set to default, and so, when my unit would repeatedly unlock my door on its own after being locked dispight…

Then once it was installed the app was a best slow and at worst dead It did not fit my current Defiant lock so I had to purchase a new lock—killing the idea of it “Converting” my old lock.Then once it was installed the app was a best slow and at worst dead. Sharing with a neighbor or friend yielded no response and it also intermittently will not respond to my app, which is kinda bad since I’d like to get into my home.
