Hour Install – Works on an existing quickset deadbolt door. Great so far. I had a normal kwickset deadbolt on my door with the large hole. Not QUITE what I wanted as it doesn’t completely cover a predrilled hole. After much research on mechanical locks; I bought this one because it didn’t directly SAY it wouldn’t work on a predrilled standard door. To be fair – it does work; but the black rubber gasket is the only thing covering the entire predrilled deadbolt hole. I could jam a screwdriver through that gasket and disable the lock (not sure it I could actually unlock the door though).We installed on a new metal door that came with two predrilled holes. They work, but you should know… There are four (or you can program it for 5) numbers in the key code, but they don’t require you enter them in any order and you can’t use the same number twice. This means they are easier to “hack.” You have to use your finger to push in the buttons, so in that regard it is, technically, digital. And the word “digital” is stamped on the face.
